Suspension of jury trails in the Supreme Court extended until January 31st
The suspension of jury trails in the Supreme Court of Nova Scotia has been extended until the end of the month.
A release from the judiciary says the extension is due to high COVID-19 case numbers and the "ongoing situation with the omicron variant".
Affected jury trials are in the process of being rescheduled to the earliest dates available, and members of the public who received a jury summons for January will be deferred to a later date.
The judiciary says the Supreme Court will continue to operate under a modified essential services model until at least January 21st.
