canadians

Four Canadians are among the year’s highest-earning music acts, raking in an estimated $190.5 million U.S. combined.

The list, compiled by Forbes, ranks Drake at No. 8 with $75 million in gross earnings in the year ended June 2019 (all figures U.S.). The Weeknd is tied with Marshmello and (another one!) DJ Khaled at No. 29 with $40 million, followed by Shawn Mendes (No. 37 with $38 million) and Céline Dion (No. 38 with $37.5 million).

Dion is one of only 10 females on the list of 40 acts.

Topping the Forbes for the second time in five years is Taylor Swift, whose estimated $185 million came from music, endorsements and touring.

Mendes is among the nine acts making the list for the first time this year (others include BTS, Ariana Grande and Migos).
