Grief Support Group For Mothers
No one is ever prepared to lose a child no matter their child’s age. Sadly, this is a reality for so many. At Hospice Renfrew we recognize the depth and uniqueness of a mother’s grief. For this reason, we are offering a special Mother’s Grief Support Group on the 3rd Tuesday of each month. Led by our Grief and Bereavement Counsellor, Julie Keon, RSSW, this group will provide a safe, non-judgmental and nurturing space to hold your grief. UOV OPP HOSTING CHILI FEST FUNDRAISER
The Upper Ottawa Valley OPP is hosting a chili luncheon and silent auction fundraiser in support of The Warming Centre. The lunch includes a bowl of chili, bun and dessert. Take out and delivery will be available and guests will also be able to take part in a silent auction featuring items such as NHL tickets, a spa package, hotel stays, and auto detailing. Pleo and Partners Support Group
Held the 1st Tuesday of the month 6:30-8pm for parents/caregivers of young adults who are dealing with any kind of mental health issues. Partners Pleo, Phoenix Centre, ATS and the Renfrew County Youth Wellness Hub come together to support parents in a confidential manner to discuss resources, services and experiences that may help them on their journey. Mental health challenges may include: depression, anxiety, addiction, mental illness, disabilities, suicide ideation or behaviour. No registration required, everyone welcome. The 2024 Renfrew County Regional Science Fair
Students from Grade 5 to 12 can register to present their science projects for chances to win cash prizes and entry into the Canada Wide Science Fair with the top 500 young scientists in Canada! Students do not need to enter a school fair first, and the registration deadline is March 30, 2024. -
