Stone Fence Theatre cancels Ottawa Valley shows
The Stone Fence Theatre has cancelled all of its shows scheduled in the Ottawa Valley this fall.
The Killaloe-based Theatre said in a statement to fans this week that it's October performances of 'Up at Fred's - Allons-y' have been cancelled because of COVID-19.
"We held off on this decision as long as possible, but we all felt it was too risky, both for audience and crew members, to go ahead this year," the group said in its statement.
"Ticket holders are being [given] a choice between refunds, exhanges and making donations."
Fans are also able to buy a DVD of the show filmed last fall at the Rankin Culture and Community Centre in Pembroke.
Earlier this year, the theatre said its premiere of 'Tom Thomson & The Colours of Canada: Love, gossip and murder in Algonquin Park,' would also be delayed until next year because of the ongoing pandemic.
In appealing for donations, the group said the next year will be a challenge so they "deeply appreciate any support" and thank fans and sponsors for the "overwhelming" response so far.
