Arrest In Pembroke Jewellery Store Break-In; More Charges Expected

OPP- Pembroke

Police in Pembroke say they've arrested and charged one person in a jewellery store break in, but the investigation is not over yet.

Upper Ottawa Valley OPP say it was around 9:30 on Friday night when a jewellery retailer in the east end was broken into.

They couldn't find the suspect that night, but on Tuesday of this week, they arrested and charged a 29 year old Pembroke resident, Justin Stirling Guindon, with break and enter.

They also carried out a search warrant yesterday which they say will result in more charges.

Police say a quantity of jewellery, including gold chains and gold crosses, remain outstanding in this case and they'd like to hear from anyone who may have information that could help.

The accused has a court appearance scheduled for tomorrow.
