Candidates' Meeting In Killaloe Saturday Night

The first chance to hear directly from some of the candidates who want your vote this month is happening this weekend in Killaloe.

The National Farmers' Union is organizing an all candidates night for Renfrew-Nipissing-Pembroke at the Killaloe Lions Hall on Saturday evening at 7:00 p.m.

Climate change, flooding, and agriculture are expected to be among the hot topics.

But organizer Marshall Buchanan says whatever the topic, the goal is to give people an opportunity to hear directly from those who want to represent them.

"I want everyone to feel excited about their chance to participate", Buchanan told Pure Country 96.7.

"I want them to see the enthusiasm that the candidates have, and to be comfortable with politics and voting.  And, getting the information from the primary source.  We need people to start talking about the issues face to face", Buchanan added.

The evening will include opening pitches from the candidates, written questions, and an open mic opportunity from the floor.
