It's playoff time for some local baseball leagues, and there's still time to watch the action.

The Ottawa Valley Baseball League Championship kicked off on Labour Day, as the Pembroke A’s blanked the Petawawa Indians 3-0 in game one of the series, played in Petawawa.

Pembroke takes a 1-0 lead in that best-of-three final.

The shutout pitcher was Matt Wagner.

Wagner allowed only three hits, and Tommy Serran knocked in two runs for the A’s.

Brandon Firlotte was tagged with the loss.

Game two goes Friday night (Sept. 6) at Riverside Park in Pembroke.  First pitch is at 7:00 p.m.
