Man Arrested In Attempted Pembroke Store Robbery


A man wanted in an attempted armed robbery in Pembroke has been arrested.  

It was Monday night, at around 8:00 p.m., when a convenience store was targeted on Mackay Street near Bell Street.

At the time, police went after the man with their Emergency Response Unit and Canine Unit, but could not track him down.

On Thursday, shortly after police putting out a description of the man they were looking for, the man was arrested in Pembroke by the Upper Ottawa Valley OPP’s Community Street Crime Unit. 

A 31 year old Ottawa man is now in custody.

His name was not provided by police.

He was held for a bail hearing, scheduled for Friday in Pembroke.
