OPP seize illegal drugs from a home in Laurentian Valley Township.
The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) East Region Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) has seized illegal drugs from a home in Laurentian Valley Township.
On May 13, 2020 members of the Street Crime Unit, assisted by the OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT) and members of the Upper Ottawa Valley OPP, executed a search warrant at a home on Highway 41, just west of Highway 17.
Three residents of Laurentian Valley Township were arrested at the residence and police seized a quantity of suspected methamphetamine, fentanyl patches, Lorazepam pills and Percocet pills. They also seized digital scales, packaging material and other items associated with drug trafficking.
Allan LAABS, age 64 is charged under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act with:
- Possession of a Schedule 4 substance for the purpose of trafficking - sec. 5(2)
- Possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking -sec. 5(2)
- Possession of a Schedule 1 substance - sec. 4(1)
Brianne CORRIN, age 30 and Cameron MCLAUGHLIN, age 34 are each charged under the CDSA with:
- Possession of a Schedule 1 substance - CDSA sec. 4(1) - two counts
The accused have been released and are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on July 21, 2020
