Need to Know: Kentucky Derby, Covid testing at Campbell, and RPS!

A local Regina woman is a proud horse owner of the 2020 Kentucky Derby winner, “Authentic."

Valli Johnson, who was a member of the Regina Pony Club in the 1970s and 80s, is a part-owner of the three-year-old thoroughbred.

Authentic finished the Kentucky Derby first, 1 1/4 lengths ahead of Tiz the Law; the “Run For the Roses” favourite.

Starting today Campbell Collegiate will start voluntary in-school Covid testing.

Campbell Collegiate has been identified by the Saskatchewan Health Authority as one of three schools in Saskatchewan to offer voluntary COVID-19 testing to students. One reason the school was chosen is because of their large enrolment.

Testing is completely voluntary and parents and guardians (and/or students over the age of 16) will determine if they wish to participate in the testing. Testing will also be available for all Campbell Collegiate staff. To participate in the COVID-19 testing, students and staff do not need to have any symptoms of COVID-19.
