Need to Know: New Dog Park, Cougar Spotting?, & Covid Exposures

Mount Pleasant Dog Park

Opens this today!

The City of Regina is excited to announce the opening of Mount Pleasant Dog Park, located at 750 North Winnipeg Street, today, November 2.

We encourage residents to come and see our third year-round off-leash dog park as it provides more opportunities for dog owners and their dogs to exercise, play and socialize. New to Regina, the park offers residents a small breed only area for dogs that are 25 pounds (11kg) or less and no more than 18 inches (46cm) tall.

Residents may notice that some areas of the park have snow fencing up. This is there to protect seeded areas and beds where irrigation and trees will be installed in the spring. The fencing will be removed when the area is established.

While visiting the park, please ensure to follow the rules posted outside the gates reminding residents of the required public health measures in effect, including:

•           Maintain a safe physical distance of two metres

•           Avoid contact with shared surfaces such as fences and benches

•           Do not share any items such as waste bags

•           Use at your own risk

•           Stay home if you are sick
