20 Year-Old Arrested & Charged After Stealing From Multiple LCBO's
On November 12, 2020 at 1:55 p.m., members of the Nipissing West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a shoplifting complaint at the Liquor Control Board of Ontario (LCBO) store on Front Street in West Nipissing (Sturgeon Falls).
After reviewing video surveillance footage, investigation revealed the culprit concealed several bottles of liquor and exited the store without paying. The individual was identified by officers but could not be located.
On November 17, 2020 at 11:50 a.m., officers responded to another shoplifting complaint at the LCBO store on Front Street.
Investigation revealed the culprit stole approximately $125 worth of liquor and was identified by officers as the same individual.
Shortly thereafter, officers located and arrested the accused a short distance away.
As a result, the 20 year-old man from Sturgeon Falls, was charged with:
· Theft Under $5000 - Shoplifting (two counts)
The accused was released on an Undertaking and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on December 3, 2020 in Sturgeon Falls.
