Sudbury Laurentian Swim Club Takes Kensit Title Fifth Year In A Row!

Once again, Sudbury Laurentian Swim Club has taken the northern swim title at Dave Kensit Memorial Championships in Sault Ste. Marie.

The battle for the banner was looking like it could be taken by any of three big cities in the north – North Bay, Sudbury or Sault Ste. Marie.

In the end, it was Sudbury Laurentian Swim Club that once again prevailed to take the 2020 banner for the fifth year in a row.

Sixteen year old Jeremi Aubin won top points in the senior division settling for nothing less than a top three finish.

Head Coach Dean Henze was accompanied by Coach Zach Shalovsky to lead the team.

Henze says “despite some injuries, the group of thirty-four swimmers who qualified fought hard and came out on top.  This made for a great trip home as this event is always a team travel expedition.”
