Man sentenced to time served for Woodstock stand-off
A 53-year-old man who had a stand-off with police last month will not spend any more time behind bars.
The Bugle Observer reports Andrew Russell London was sentenced to time served Monday on charges of uttering threats, breach of an undertaking and assault with a weapon.
In a release, Woodstock Police said officers responded to a residence on Broadway Street in Woodstock shortly before 12:30 a.m. on February 22 after getting reports a male with a weapon was endangering public safety.
The threat was contained with the assistance of members of the local RCMP detachment, and members of the Fredericton Police Force Emergency Response Team.
Police say a search warrant was executed on the residence and weapons were seized.
The paper reports London pleaded guilty to the charges during a previous court appearance.
