Brockville musicians to host weekly online concert series

The next seven Mondays will see Brockville-area musicians performing online performances for the general public. 

The Upper Canada Musicians' Association is hosting a series of eight one-hour online performances on Monday night's on the group's Facebook page. 

Al Torrance is the president of the union and said the free shows started Monday with local musician and Prescott-born Al Johnson. 

He said the shows will continue every Monday night until October 26. 

"We have eight wonderful shows coming in to Brockville, you can access it by searching for the Upper Canada Musicians or the Music Performance Trust Fund," he said. 

Scheduled performers include:

Mon. Sept 14th, 2020 - Matthew O’Halloran (Jazz)
Mon. Sept 21st, 2020 - The Continentals (Rock and Roll)
Mon. Sept 28th, 2020 - The Brigadoons (Celtic/Scottish) 
Mon. Oct 5th, 2020 - The Arrogant Worms (Comedy)
Mon. Oct 12th, 2020  - Chris Coyea, Alex Fleuriau Chateau & Margaret Whisselle (30’s, 40’s & 50’s Show Tunes)
Mon. Oct 19th, 2020 - Saxology (Sax Quartette)
Mon. Oct 26th, 2020 - Terry O’Reilly (The Crooners)

Musicians will be performing from the St. John’s United Church in Brockville and all performances start at 8 p.m.
