A Kingston man faces charges after police seized a number of drugs during a traffic stop in Quinte West.

The OPP said officers had originally pulled over and arrested a driver for using stolen license plates on Tuesday, but a search turned up crack cocaine, crystal methamphetamine, cannabis and cash.

Spencer St. Amand, 30, is charged with three counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking on top of seven other charges.

He is scheduled to appear in court in Belleville in July.
