Kingston's CIBC Run for the Cure raises nearly $90K
Kingston residents took to the streets in separate groups on Sunday to raise nearly $90,000 for Cancer.
414 people took part in the Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure on Sunday and took part in 1 kilometre or 5 kilometre walk and run events, raiseing a total of $89,900. Organizers expect more donations to trickle in through the rest of the month.
"Thank you, Kingston, together we are changing the future of breast cancer," organizers said in a statement.
The top individual fundraisers were Dinah Viola, followed by Meagan McLeod and Danielle Brisbin in second and third place.
