Two men charged after corrections officer surrounded, threatened

Two men face a number of charges after police said a correctional officer was surrounded and threatened at a Brockville convenience store. 

The incident happened around 5:30 p.m. Sunday at the Quickie Store on William Street, according to police, where two men reportedly surrounded a 31-year-old man and threatened him with assault. Police said both men were found a short time later and arrested. 

A 39-year-old man is charged with assault, uttering threats, breach of probation and two counts of drug possession for methamphetamine and fentanyl police said were found at the scene. 

A 36-year-old man is also charged with assault, uttering threats a four counts of breach of probation.
