COVID

Renfrew County reported two new cases of COVID-19 on Monday.

Both cases were confirmed in the Renfrew-area and pushes the active cases in the area to four as of Tuesday morning.

There were 615 new cases in Ontario on Monday, the eighth straight day the province reported above 500 new cases.

The province paused walk-in testing at centres to catch up on a backlog of tests but rotating testing clinics will continue in Renfrew County as of Tuesday.

Shady Nook Recreation Centre in Laurentian Valley will host a clinic from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday, while another will be open at 91 Meehan Street in Arnprior at the same time.

The Renfrew County and District Health Unit asks any residents who have questions about testing to take their online self-assessment or call the Renfrew County Virtual Triage and Assessment Centre at 1-844-727-6404.
