Two people charged, drugs seized during Wolfe Island RIDE stop 


Two people face charges after a number of drugs and a handgun were seized during a RIDE program traffic stop on Wolfe Island. 

Police said a vehicle had tried to avoid the spot check Friday evening in the area and was pulled over, where officers found MDMA, methamphetamine and crack cocaine. Police said officers also found a .22 calibre handgun, ammunition, a collapsible baton, a baseball bat, knives and body armour.

Jesse Millar, 25, of Yarker and Christine Hout, 25, of Frontenac Islands Township both face nine charges each, including possession of a dangerous weapon, possession of an unauthorized firearm and drug possession charges. 

Both are scheduled to appear in court in Kingston on Dec. 10.
