Upper Ottawa Valley OPP have launched their annual 'Christmas Angel' program.

For the 24th year, residents are encouraged  to pick up an angel to help support those in need in the area, particularly kids, and return an unwrapped gift by Dec 2.

Each angel represents a less fortunate child in the community and are available for pickup at both the Pembroke and Petawawa Detachment of the OPP as well as the Petawawa Public Library and Pembroke Library, Pembroke City Hall and the Laurentian Valley Township office. Gifts can also be dropped off at these locations.

Last year over 200 Christmas angels were distributed to the community by the OPP and those looking for more information are asked to contact Sara Lapointe at the Upper Ottawa Valley OPP at 613-735-0188.
