Virtual 'Hike for Hospice' raises over $150,000
The annual 'Hike for Hospice' for Hospice Renfrew moved to a virtual one this year but still managed to raise over $150,000 for the facility.
The Hospice tweeted on Tuesday that this year's virtual event held on Oct. 10 raised $156,000.
ALL CONTRIBUTIONS GAVE US THE GRAND TOTAL OF $156,000.00!!!— Hospice Renfrew (@Hospice_Renfrew) November 2, 2020
Thank you for your continued, faithful support, your generosity will make an immediate difference in the lives of the families that we serve! @marjorie_joly @JYakabuskiMPP #blessedandgrateful #givingthanks pic.twitter.com/70NcJMZ9bI
The cash goes to help Hospice Renfrew with operating costs as the province only funds about 50 per cent of expenses.
Executive Director Marjorie Joly thanked the community for their continued support she said will make an immediate difference in the lives of the families they serve.
