Bob Ross Exhibit Coming To Penticton

An exhibit featuring some of the paintings by pop culture icon Bob Ross was cancelled because of the pandemic.

But good news for fans of the TV show 'Joy of Painting', the exhibit is now rescheduled.

It opens July 4 at the Penticton Art Gallery.

Curator Paul Crawford said, "When you see them there's actually much more to the paintings than what you would get if you see them on TV. That's going to be kind of an exciting thing to have that visceral experience and the chance to actually see it in its fullness, richness and the brush strokes and the pallet knife marks."

"Happy Little Accidents"  is the first-ever Ross exhibit in Canada.

50 people an hour will be able to go through the gallery.
