A lack of staff is once again playing havoc with some services at the Campbellton Regional Hospital.
The Vitalite Health Network says Obstetrics and Pediatric Services at the hospital are temporarily suspended due to a lack of pediatricians.
CEO Gilles Lanteigne says the network went through great lengths to find alternate pediatricians put was unsuccessful.
Lanteigne says pregnant woman are being referred to the Chaleur Regional Hospital in Bathurst to give birth, along with young patients needed specialized pediatric care.
The service interruption is effective Friday and will continue until next Wednesday.
The network says affected woman who are 36-weeks pregnant or more will be contacted.
