Trick-or-Treating a go in Fredericton

Kids Trick or Treating

Trick-or-Treating will be allowed in the City of Fredericton this Halloween.

A statement from the City says, "following the advice of the Chief Medical Officer of Health [the City of Fredericton], will move forward in permitting door-to-door trick-or-treating this Halloween."

The City adds all events must be in accordance with the guidelines set out by Public Health.

Those going trick-or-treating should sanitize their hands before touching treats, and limit trick-or-treating to one neighbourhood.

Residents who chose to hand out treats this Halloween are advised to avoid home-made treats.

Anyone participating in a Halloween activity outside their home is encouraged to wear a community face mask, while families are also encouraged to follow their usual Halloween safety guidelines for trick-or-treating with small children.
