UNB vigil for Iran plane crash victims Friday afternoon

There will be a vigil at UNB to commemorate loved ones lost in Wednesday's Ukranie International Airlines plane crash in Iran.

In a post to the UNB website, UNB Persia President Hassan Heidarian says public attendance will, "be a source of encouragement and peace for all of us".

The vigil will be held at the Alumni Memorial Lounge in Fredericton Friday afternoon from 4:00-5:00 p.m.

In an interview on Pure Country Morning's with Brent and Deb Mayor Mike O'Brien says he will be attending this afternoon's vigil.

Flags at City Hall have also been lowered to half mast as a gesture of respect to those who were lost in the crash.
