Mitch Melnick


Native Montrealer who grew up in Chomedey. A radio junkie as a kid, started working professionally for CKO all News Radio (Formerly CFOX) in 1977 at age 18.

Was on site at PQ HQ at Paul Sauvé arena on referendum night in 1980. Moved to the sports department at CFCF Radio just in time for the Expos only playoff run in 1981.

A year later hired by Bob Dunn to help beef up the CJAD Sports department, later joined by Elliott Price and Chris Cuthbert.

Hired by CIQC to host their drive show in 1993.

Hosted The Habs This Week on CTV Montreal for several years in the late 90s.

Joined The Team 990 – along with Ted Blackman, Cathy Newton & Shaun Starr - when it signed on in May of 2001.

Was a writer/columnist for The Athletic Montreal for three years.

Runs the Montreal music promotion company Billy Bob Productions.
