A New Study Says Mouthwash Can Kill COVID-19 In 30 Seconds
I need to preface this article with the fact that we do not need to be going to Costco to buy giant bulk family sized versions of our favorite mouth washes because this will not be the solution to ending the pandemic. I know as humans we’ve learned our favorite thing to do is bulk buy items that we think are going to help but… let’s not put the mouth wash supply chain into a panic, okay?
Either way, this is some cool news that has been hitting the headlines today.
They did a study at Cardiff University in the UK that basically showed them in a lab that the use of some generic mouth washes that you can buy at any store that sells them, have the capability to kill the virus that is COVID 19 in about 30 seconds once it has been exposed.
It’s definitely important to note that these tests weren’t done on actual human people, and are just lab tests in which the results have come to light and now the entire world is in awe of this potentially covid killing agent that we otherwise never would’ve thought of before.
In the meantime, instead of drinking gallons of mouthwash in hopes it makes us immune to this monster virus, I say we just take a little bit of ease in knowing that a product we know well and use on the daily may actually be doing a little bit more than we had originally imagined to help us out when it comes to our mouths.
If you’re like me, and you’re not a daily mouth wash user, this may even make you feel inclined to freshen up your routine, figuratively and literally, and add it to the mix… just in case it works.

But this hasn't been tested in people with COVID-19. Scientists at @cardiffuni mimicked the conditions of a human naso/oropharynx passage to test brands such as Dentyl and Listerine. https://t.co/p1u3Y5z8dE
