‘Legally Blonde 3’ Will Be Written By Mindy Kaling and Dan Goor

‘Legally Blonde’ is actually one of the most iconic movies of all time. If you’ve survived under a rock for most of your life, a simple explanation of the movie is that it’s about a well off young sorority woman who is dating a well off man who is going to Harvard Law School to become a Lawyer. He takes her out for dinner where she thinks he’s going to propose, and he ends their relationship. As part of her payback, she studies her butt off… gets into Harvard Law and shows up to surprise him. At the beginning, it seems as though it’s a ploy to get him back, but things go as they go and… well, I don’t want to give it all away.

Either way, in many ways including the ones that are definitely super obvious from my small synopsis, this movie is iconic. Also, unlike most sequels, Legally Blonde 2 was almost equally as iconic. I use the world almost, because we all know that more often than not, the first movie is better than the second. Not always, but most of the time.

Due to the fact that both Legally Blonde 1&2 are so well loved, the announcement of Legally Blonde 3 was exciting for all of us… so now finding out who will be involved in the writing process has us even more excited than we were before. Mindy Kaling (well-known from ‘The Office’) is a comedic genius and she is going to have a hand in writing the movie, as is Dan Goor. I feel like hearing this news is like catching news of a new Amy Schumer movie or something… in the same sense that you know it’s going to make you howl with laughter without even needing to try.

With COVID-19, obviously it would be super hard to project a release date for this movie, as it isn’t even written yet, but either way, when it comes… it will be a gift.
