Mt Norquay Is Opening Up On October 24th! Making It The Earliest Opening Day In 95 Years!


When the snows flying like this in October there's 2 kinds of people in YYC. The kind of people who want to hide under their blankets until spring and THE SKI AND SNOWBOARD LOVERS have been doing the snow dance to Ullr all summer!

EEEEEEEEE!!! As someone who snowboards yes admittedly, it was slightly a hard pill to swallow seeing the snow keeeeeeeeep coming down until you find out WAIT!! NORQUAY IS OPENING ON OCTOBER 24TH?! Time to turn that frown upside down, suit up in your warm gear and hit the slopes!!!

This is going to be so much fun especially since so many of us aren't able to travel this year, lets travel to the mountains!! our own backyard!!

Not everything will be open but they'll start with Cascade Chair and Sundance Carpet  Mount Norquay will be open seven-days-a-week and all visitors will be required to pre-purchase lift tickets.

  •  Nakiska - Friday, Nov. 6 (Originally scheduled for Friday, Oct. 30)
  •  Lake Louise Ski Resort - Friday, Nov. 6
  •  WinSport - Friday, Nov. 27
  •  Fernie Alpine Resort - Saturday, Dec. 5
  •  Kicking Horse Resort - Friday, Dec. 11

Sunshine Village Ski Resort plans to open for the season in November but a specific opening date has not been disclosed.
