The Movie ‘Contagion’ Is Trending In Canada Like Crazy

This is literally all the proof we need to know for sure that humans are literal freaks.

It’s like we thrive off of being scared. We don’t like it, we panic, fear turns to anger… but we continue to scare ourselves again and again. It’s an endless cycle. Which is very likely why all of these movies about disease outbreak and pandemics are trending in Canada, and I’m sure it isn’t just happening in the true north strong and free, either.

I mean, it’s kind of hard to not watch it when the rest of the world is doing exactly that. Contagion is a movie about a worldwide pandemic. The virus that breaks out in the movie is definitely more lethal than coronavirus, but it’s the same premise, and it’s terrifying to watch. I understand more than anyone the need to watch a good Gwenyth Paltrow flick when you’ve got nothing better going on… but couldn’t you have watched ‘Shallow Hal’ instead? Like, come on people!

I’m not going to lie, I watched it a few months ago… not knowing the fate of the world, and it scared the pants off of me even before any of this happened. I tried to watch it again the other day, only because everyone else was, so why not, right? I couldn’t get past the first 20 minutes, it’s too hard to handle with everything that’s going on right now.

Either way, if you’re the kind of person that wants to induce more panic among you and whoever lives with you, the Contagion may be the perfect film to watch tonight before you go to bed. If you like remaining calm, however, I’d choose something a little less… real.

In case you don't know what I'm talking about... here's the trailer so you can suffer with the rest of us.
