Remembrance Day Porch Stand trending in the Edmonton Area

Obviously things will be different tomorrow for Remembrance Day. There won’t be mass gatherings to honor and remember our soldiers and their sacrifice. There won’t be big crowds gathering at the legions but there are still ways to remember.

Morniville and Sturgeon County had a great idea “Remember Together - While we are apart” for everyone to gather on their front porches, balconies and steps at 11am for 2 minutes to remember and to have a moment of silence.

St.Albert’s Mayor Cathy Heron re-tweeted saying that St. Albert will be on board as she tweeted out to other municipalities like Spruce Grove and Leduc and then Edmonton’s Mayor Don Iveson tweeted out inviting Edmontonians to do the same.

I love this idea. I will be outside at 11am tomorrow. I hope you will be too. There are a few other ways to remember in the Edmonton Area tomorrow as well. Kat put together a list here.
