Starbucks/Second Cup Not Accepting Refillable Mugs in Wake of COVID-19

Starbucks has a deal usually, 10 cents off your drink if you bring in a travel mug. This is in an effort to cut down on waste and be more environmentally consious.

They are temporarily not going to be accepting the personal mugs, hopefully nixing any possible contamination or spread of germs through the personal travel mugs.

Second Cup is following suit as well, ususally customers would receive a 20 cent discount for using a travel mug for their drink. Instead, you can opt to use one of the cafe's ceramic mugs in store that are cleaned with a high-pressure washer.

No word on when the temporary ban on the travel mugs will end.
