WATCH: Dua Lipa Debuts 'Don't Start Now'

Dua Lipa is kicking off November with the release of her single “Don’t Start Now.”

On social media, the 24-year-old singer told fans: “Hope you like it as much as I loved making it.”

Lipa penned the dance floor anthem with Caroline Ailin, Emily Warren and Ian Kirkpatrick. She sings: "If you don’t wanna see me dancing with somebody / If you wanna believe that anything could stop me / Don't show up / Don't come out / Don't start caring about me now / Walk away, you know how / Don't start caring about me now.”

The pop star also premiered the song’s video, directed by Nabil and shot in New York City. (Note the TD Bank branch behind Lipa at around the 0:08 mark!)

“I chose to put this song out first so I could close one chapter of my life and start another,” Lipa explained, in a release. “Into a new era with a new sound! It's about moving on and not allowing anyone to get in the way of that.”

“Don’t Start Now” comes after Lipa’s chart-topper “New Rules” and collaborations with Calvin Harris (“One Kiss”) and Silk City (“Electricity”) and will be part of the forthcoming follow-up to her 2017 self-titled debut album.
