9 Comedy Shows Coming to Vancouver Soon!

It’s been a while since we had live stand-up comedy acts coming to our great city, but that’s all changing. With restrictions easing, we can finally gather and share some laughs at the best comedy venues in the city! Here are 9 comedy shows to check out soon.
1. Hasan Minhaj – November 14 & 15
From ‘The Daily Show’ to ‘Patriot Act’ Hasan has been bringing the laughs for years and his new one man show, “The King’s Jester”, is no exception! See him at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre this month.
2. Eddie Izzard – November 14th
This is Izzard’s first tour of Canada since her 2013 Force Majeure tour. ‘Force Majeure’ made comedy history having played in 45 countries including all 50 US States AND in four languages, making it the most extensive comedy show ever.
3. Mark Normand – November 18, 19 & 20
Through his relentlessly punchy writing and expert delivery, Mark Normand is quickly becoming one of the most talked about comedians on the scene. The New York comedian is in town for three nights at the House of Coemdy, don’t miss it!
4. Stand Up at the Hollywood Presented by Funny1040 – November 29th
The monthly comedy showcase brings talented comedians to the revamped Hollywood Theatre. DJ Demers headlines the next show on November 29th.
5. Chelsea Handler – January 8th
Chelsea Handler made local headlines last year while skiing in whistler topless. Now the stand-up comedian returns to the west coast, coincidentally (or not) during ski season again!
6. Bert Kreischer – January 13th
The podcaster, stand-up comedian, and actor brings the laughs to the Queen Elizabeth theatre in the new year.
7. Trevor Noah – February 26th
The South African comedian is heading back on tour and Vancouver is on the schedule! Noah will be here as part of JFL Northwest, Vancouver’s annual comedy festival.
8. Joe Rogan – April 20th
Host of one of the most popular and controversial podcasts ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’, the muti-talented stand-up comedian (and big proponent of cannabis), will ‘light up’ Rogers Arena on 4/20.
9. Bill Burr – June 25th
One of comedy’s biggest stars, Bill Burr has multiple Netflix specials, his own Netflix cartoon “F is for Family” and a successful podcast! The comedian is also a huge Boston sports fan so be warned that he will definitely gloat about the Bruins cup win over the Canucks in 2011.
With so much amazing comedic talent coming to our city soon, you'll want to start saving up!
