Before Grosso represented Canada on the international stage, she was just a kid watching soccer games on Commercial Drive!
The match started at 5am our time and it took extra time and penalties for Canada to prevail. The Olympic gold medal is arguably the greatest achievement in Canadian soccer history! Check out these images and videos from the celebrations:
Burnaby’s Christine Sinclair holds the record for most international goals of any player with a staggering 187 goals scored! She is pictured with Chilliwack’s Jordyn Huitema, a promising young payer for the Canadian squad.
