Demi Lovato Added To List Of Grammy Performers

Demi Lovato announced Tuesday that she will be performing at the Grammy Awards later this month.

“I told you the next time you’d hear from me I’d be singing,” the 27-year-old pop star declared on social media.

Lovato has been out of the music spotlight since a near-fatal drug overdose in July 2018. She returned to acting for a three-episode arc on Will & Grace this month, where she plays Will’s surrogate.

The singer hasn’t released new music since 2017’s Tell Me You Love Me. Her 2015 album Confident was nominated for a Grammy in 2017 and she is featured on Christina Aguilera’s track “Fall in Line,” which was up for a Grammy last year.

Lovato joins Camilla Cabello and the Jonas Brothers as well as previously announced Grammy night performers Ariana Grande, Aerosmith with Run-DMC, Billie Eilish, Lizzo, Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani. Returning host Alicia Keys will also perform.

Canada's Daniel Caesar, Shawn Mendes, Michael Bublé, Drake, Jessie Reyez and Northern Cree are vying for awards at this year's Grammys, which will be handed out on Jan. 26.
