Having This in Your Dating Profile Make You Less Attractive
Dating-site users rank others as less attractive when there are typos in their profiles, a new study finds.
"Inattentiveness can be interpreted as a lack of effort," the study's author explains. "This is likely to be perceived as unattractive."
The study asked 800 participants to rank people's attractiveness based on whether or not there were spelling and grammar mistakes in their profile.
The good news is, most of your fellow online daters probably don't even catch your misspellings and poor punctuation. The study also found that only 33.5 percent of study participants noticed errors in other people's profiles.
