Man Posts Singles Ad Seeking Mate for His Lonely Duck

A man in the states is getting a lot of attention over his creative ad to try to find a new mate for his female duck.

In Maine recently, a bobcat slaughtered two ducks on Chris Morris' property in Blue Hill, Maine, leaving Morris' remaining female duck without a mate.

Since the deaths of Brown Duck and Gray Duck, Yellow Duck has been uncharacteristically reclusive--so Morris posted a singles ad under the heading "Duck Seeking Duck" on a bulletin board at his local co-op. Sadie Green, who tells The Bangor Daily News that she owns "a slew of male ducks," saw the posting and has arranged a meeting with Morris and their ducks, in hopes of finding a love match for Yellow Duck.

“I think we have to provide a private, romantic space for them, something they can share," says Morris. "Yellow Duck’s favorite food is a slug, so maybe we can set up a nice little plate for them.”

Good luck Yellow Duck! Guess people aren't the ones that need help in the love department every once in a while.
