Aaron Carter claimed on Monday to have purchased a home in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia.
“I just Purchased my first ESTATE ITS A F**KING CASTLE,” the troubled pop singer wrote in a caption on Instagram, where he shared a photo showing him standing in front of the home with local realtor Mike Randall.
“It’s 9,000 square feet and 8 bedrooms a REC ROOM, THOT TUB, a STUDY a fire place in every room. It comes with free maple syrup 4Life maple on tap.”
A listing for the home, which is located at 24 Sprucewood Drive, shows it was priced at $629,900 (or about $473,000 U.S.) and that it is, in fact, 6,967 square-feet with four bedrooms.
“I can’t wait to renovate and get started,” Carter said in a separate post. “I’m here to stay.”
Even though Randall is seen happily posing with Carter in the photo, he refused to comment when reached by iHeartRadio.ca. “That’s something I can’t discuss,” he said, adding that he was not able to confirm that Carter bought the property.
In a video he shared on Instagram, Carter flashed a large wad of U.S. cash that he claimed, in the caption, he is “donating … to my community and where I just bought my brand new home 9,000 square feet and it’s a f**king CASTLE.”
Carter’s alleged Canadian home, located about 300 km from Halifax, is described in the listing as “one of Yarmouth's finest homes” with “multiple bathrooms and a master bedroom/ ensuite that people only dream of.” It also boasts a “dance or exercise room.”
MORE: Aaron Carter's Public Drama Comes North
It’s the latest in a bizarre weekend of claims on social media by Carter, who performed Friday night at a Halifax club. On Sunday, he claimed he was staying “high on a mountain in Halifax in a [Motel 6]” – when, in fact, he was at a Comfort Inn in Yarmouth (there is no Motel 6 in Nova Scotia).
After declaring that he was moving to Canada, he claimed to have bought the private Kaulbach Island, about 70 km from Halifax, for $7 million. “I put $1.5 million down to get away from the drama and make my music,” he tweeted.
“Good luck finding me. These waters get cold.”
But a rep for realtor Mariana Cowan laughed when iHeartRadio.ca asked if Carter bought the property. "It's still for sale," she said. (A home shown in the photo Carter shared on Twitter is not on the island.)
The 31-year-old singer has for weeks been simultaneously begging for privacy while tweeting about his personal issues.
Carter's older brother, Backstreet Boys singer Nick Carter, filed for a restraining order against his younger brother last month. Aaron also claims police in L.A. have visited his home several times for wellness checks.
