The Academy of Country Music (ACM) said Wednesday it is not ready to pull the plug on this year’s awards show, which is scheduled for April 5 at the MGM Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
"We are closely monitoring the situation along with the MGM team, who are in continuous contact with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Southern Nevada Health District, and other agencies and experts for guidance,” read a statement from the ACM. “We will take every precaution to ensure the safety of our artists, staff, crew, guests and attendees.”
Producers said host Keith Urban will also perform on the show, along with Miranda Lambert with Lindsay Ell, Caylee Hammack, Elle King, Ashley McBryde and Tennile Townes.

Top nominees this year include Dan + Shay, Maren Morris, Carrie Underwood and Thomas Rhett.
Canada is represented by Justin Bieber, who shares four noms with Dan + Shay for their collaboration “10,000 Hours,” and Lindsay Ell, who is up for New Female Artist of the Year and shares a nomination for her collaboration with Brantley Gilbert, "What Happens In A Small Town.” Whitehorse native Joey Moi is vying for Producer of the Year and Boots & Hearts, the annual country music festival in Oro-Medonte, Ont., is nominated for Festival of the Year.
There have been only a small number of confirmed COVID-19 cases reported in Nevada.
Earlier this week, MGM Resorts International announced it is temporarily closing buffets at its seven properties on the Vegas strip: ARIA, Bellagio, MGM Grand, Mandalay Bay, The Mirage, Luxor and Excalibur.
