Canadian singer Alanis Morissette just can’t catch a break. The “Ironic” singer was the victim of a multimillion dollar burglary last Thursday (Feb. 9), TMZ reports.
While away from her Los Angeles home in the Brentwood district, thieves entered the musician’s home and stole $2.6 million USD worth of jewellery. It remains unknown whether they made away with any other items aside from the jewellery.
A spokesperson for the LAPD confirmed to Mic that “suspects made off with a safe containing approximately $2 million worth of jewelry and other items or property.”

The singer has previously shared images of her jewellery to her 243,000 Instagram followers, writing, “The subtle meets wild creations and talismans I have been moved by and quietly collecting for years. Felt inspired to share some of them with you. #rings #godisadesigner.”
Morissette, 42, has recently made headlines for a white collar crime committed by her ex-business manager. He admitted to stealing $5 million USD from the singer over the course of four years.
The manager, Jonathan Todd Schwartz, plead guilty to the theft and faces 23 years in prison.
