We've already seen a teaser trailer for Back To Black, the upcoming Amy Winehouse biopic, and now there is an official trailer for the much-anticipated film.
Marisa Abela (Industry) stars as the late Grammy-winning singer in the story of how she became the world's most famous singer before her life descended into a cataclysmic tailspin from substance abuse, ending in her untimely death.
Directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson (Fifty Shades of Grey), the trailer shares more of Winehouse's triumphant rise and turbulent fall, from her start as a jazz singer, to releasing her game-changing Back To Black album and winning awards, to meeting troublesome boyfriend Blake Fielder Civil (played by Jack O'Connell).
Back To Black has been made with the full support of Winehouse’s father Mitch (played by Eddie Marsan) and her estate, which has allowed the use of her music.
The film will now hit theatres in North American on May 17.
