Ariana Grande shared a message for her fans on Sunday explaining why she has been so emotional during her Sweetener World Tour.
“I feel everything very intensely and have committed to doing this tour during a time in my life when i’m still processing a lot … so sometimes i cry a lot,” she said. “i thank you for accepting my humanness.”
Fans have expressed concern for the pop star on social media after seeing her break down in tears at several concerts.
Grande said she is grateful for the love she feels from fans. “i’m sharing this because … i want you to know that if you too are hurting, you can push through and are not alone.
“it is hard to balance taking care of the people around you, doing your job, and healing / taking care of yourself at the same time… but i want you to know, you aren’t alone and i think you’re doing great.”
Grande’s tour, which began in March and runs until Dec. 21, is happening a year after the overdose death of her ex-boyfriend Mac Miller and her split from fiancé Pete Davidson. It is also her first global trek since 2017’s Dangerous Woman Tour, which was marred by a bombing outside her show in Manchester on May 22, 2017.
Last month, Grande broke down while performing “Thank U, Next” in Miller’s hometown.
