Bebe Rexha shared her frustration with social media trolls on Monday after being called out for deleting a tweet about the death of Jeopardy host Alex Trebek.
“Honestly twitter has turned into such a sad place,” the pop star wrote. “I hate it here.”
Hours earlier, Rexha tweeted: “Alex Trebek has passed away. Today is going to be a very sad day. I’ll take depressed for 600 Alex.” She then deleted the message and replaced it with simply “Rip Alex Trebek” and a crying-face emoji.
When someone commented “Don’t think we didn’t see the deleted tweet,” Rexha clapped back “Don’t think that I care that you saw.”
A fan asked Rexha why she trashed the original Trebek tweet. “Cause there are people on Twitter who say mean s**t and make you overthink everything you do,” she explained. “They are so miserable and unsure of them selves (sic) and so bored they tweet some f**ked up s**t to you and then your (sic) like wait should I delete this? And you do and then they ask you why.”

Rexha’s Twitter drama came days after she used Instagram Stories to address paparazzi photos showing her in a swimsuit on a beach in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
“Yes, I got thighs, I got an ass,” she said. “It’s just really hard because I find it hard to love myself sometimes and when you see yourself looking like s**t it’s like, yes, I got stretch marks, I got cellulite, all of the above. But I don’t do surgery. I’ve never touched my body, never done lipo.
“I’m trying to be healthy … and I like to eat and I also take medicine that makes it really hard for me to lose weight.”
Rexha added: “I’m thick, I’m a thick girl, I’ll take it. That’s how I was born.”
