Queen Bey has caught up to the King of Pop with her 40th Top 40 hit in the U.S.
“Black Parade,” which Beyoncé dropped on June 19, debuted at No. 37 on the Billboard Hot 100 dated July 4.
The singer is now tied with the late Michael Jackson for Top 40 hits.
According to Billboard, Beyoncé got her first in 2002 when she was featured on Jay-Z’s “03 Bonnie and Clyde.” Jackson’s first was “Got To Be There” in 1971.
Both Beyoncé and Jackson fronted groups before going solo – Destiny’s Child had 13 Top 40 hits between 1997 and 2005 and The Jackson 5 collected 23 from 1969 to 1984.
