Cardi B on Thursday filed a countersuit against former manager Klenord “Shaft” Raphael in which she alleges he was “deceitful and disloyal” and “a self-serving and controlling personal manager.”

It’s the rapper’s response to Raphael’s lawsuit, filed in April, that accuses her of breach of contract, unjust enrichment and defamation.

Cardi, whose real name is Belcalis Almanzar, claims Raphael “proved increasingly willing to take advantage of, deceive and exploit Ms. Almanzar, and he had the ability to do so through complete control over all legal documents and virtually every dollar that Ms. Almanzar earned in the entertainment business.”

She alleges that Raphael “unconscionably used his position of trust as a fiduciary to extract a larger portion of Ms. Almanzar’s earnings.”

Cardi is reportedly seeking $15 million (all figures U.S.) in damages. She left Raphael for new managers Kevin Lee and Pierre Thomas.

Raphael's lawsuit seeks $10 million.

None of the allegations have been proven in a court.
