The lead singer of Canadian punk band D.O.A. has been elected to council in Burnaby, B.C.
Joe Keithley – aka Joey Shithead – was elected to one of eight council seats in the city east of Vancouver.
The 62-year-old musician, who represents the Green Party, previously ran in three provincial elections.
Keithley formed D.O.A. in the late ‘70s and recorded more than a dozen studio albums. He is the only founding member still in the band and currently runs Sudden Death Records.
