Dustin Lynch has revealed he’s jealous of Luke Bryan.
“The man can do no wrong,” the country singer told CMT. “He’s like my big brother. He’s taken me under his wing.
"I’m jealous of him filling up stadiums. That’s something I want to do. This isn’t in a bad way… [I] aspire to do that.”
Lynch added he hopes to turn the jealousy into motivation to accomplish longevity like that of his mentors in country music.
“To be around as long as Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw and still be on the radio, and, gosh, they’re in better shape than we are,” said Lynch. “These are goals — real goals. I’m glad to have influences like that in my life.”
Lynch is up for his first Billboard Music Award (for Top Country Song for “Small Town Boy”). The show airs May 20 on CTV.
