Sam Hunt and Chris Stapleton are among the top nominees in country music categories at the 2018 Billboard Music Awards, which were announced Tuesday.
All three are up for Top Country Artist and Top Country Male Artist.
Hunt also has nominations for Top Country Song and Top Selling Song (for “Body Like a Back Road”) and he is the only country artist nominated for the Billboard Chart Achievement Award.
Stapleton is the sole country artist to make the Top Billboard 200 Artist category and his From A Room: Volume 1 is the only country one up for Top Selling Album (it's also nominated as Top Country Album).
Florida Georgia Line earned nods for Top Country Duo/Group and Top Country Tour and their single with Bebe Rexha, “Meant to Be” is up for Top Country Song.
Kelsea Ballerini, Miranda Lambert and Maren Morris are nominees for Top Country Female Artist but none of them made it on the list for Top Country Artist.
Nominations for the BBMAs are based on factors including sales, radio airplay, streaming, touring and social engagement.
The BBMAs, hosted by Kelly Clarkson, will be broadcast live on May 20 on CTV.
